When you start writing fanfiction. Nonetheless, I humbly offer you my own twisted vision of how Season 4 should start:

It begins with the music, the slow haunting half formed melodies that we know will eerily coalesce into All Along the Watchtower. Along with those indistinct sounds we are treated to a montage of equally indistinct images – close ups in stark contrast to the majestic panorama of Earth we closed with last season. These are intimate pieces of Galactica as we have known her over the last few years – the twinkling of lights coming into focus as candles dripping wax in the memorial hallway, soapy water draining from a hastily abandoned washbasin, combat boots running in slow motion across the non-skid plating, spittle flying from a mouth along with orders – gradually resolving, building in tempo and intensity along with the music. The shots become wider, faster – a close up of Adama’s eyes with CIC blurred and bustling behind him, a squadron of Mark VII Vipers launching, the deck gang scrambling to prepare for recovery, an overwhelming number of Cylon Baseships scattered across the darkened heavens, a close up of Lee in his Viper – but still there’s no dialogue or sound effects, only the music pounding in intensity and volume, bringing us to the fever pitch of anxiety we felt months ago when we left Glactica in dire straits.

There is a new Frak-Koma in the works. I’m just a little sidetracked by putting in a good 16 hours worth of work this weekend. (sucks)

Also, I just got a new Macbook Pro.
It does Windows.
So… there are approximately 10 years worth of PC gaming I must catch up with in short order now. (^_^);;

Here’s my short list in no particular order:

  • Touhou shooters. Yes all of them.
    Combat Mission
    Half Life… and I heard the sequel was not bad.
    Homeworld… mostly for the Battlestar Galactica mod

What else should I add? I feel somewhat obliged to actually try one of those visual novels, ne?

  • Oh Frak! I almost forgot to mention Beyond the Red Line! Go download the demo now and relive all thoose long forgotten Wing Commander moments while your wingman dishes dirt about the Vice President’s habit of talking to imaginary people.
